On May 23, 2023, in the exigency and interest of the service and pursuant to PPA Memorandum Order No. 04-2023, the Port Management Office – SOCSARGEN successfully took over the Management, Operation, Development, and Maintenance of the Port of Mabila with the coordination of the Philippine Ports Authority – Mabila Port Services (PPA-MPS) designated personnel headed by Cesar M. Dataya as (Manager) along with Niel Aldrich C. Montanez (Assistant Manager), Fernando B. Mapalo, Jr. (Auditor) and Capt. Cecilio N. Butanas (PMO Harbor Master) to Mayor Adelan B. De Arce of LGU Sarangani.
